Introduction:

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”  —Jim Rohn

In these busy days, we failed to eat healthy foods or cook healthy foods. Often, we go out and eat food from outside or we use instant packaged foods. We all know how harmful these are, still we consume these because we do not have time and motivation to cook healthy foods.

Most of the people are not well-informed about the impact of the food habit on our body. Hence, we end up eating anything and everything.

I know, everybody wants to eat healthy, but most of the people think healthy foods are not tasty and they are also costly. But, let me prove you wrong. You do not really need to compromise your taste for eating healthy, neither they are costly. You can make these recipes easily at your home with limited ingredients and less time.

Why to Choose a Healthy Food Habit:

The question is why to choose a healthy food habit. And the answer is pretty simple. To live a healthy and better life. There are lots of benefits of having a heathy food habit:

  • Fitter body
  • Stronger immunity
  • Better energy
  • Improved memory
  • Better sleep
  • Better mental health

And the list goes on. A balanced diet can do wonder to the body.

How to make easy & quick healthy meals:

To eat healthy, you do not need to make huge changes to your kitchen or your daily food menu at once. You can go step by step. Like, if you are taking too much sugar daily, you can cut it down to one to two spoons. Or you can use jaggery powder or honey instead of sugar. Or, if you eat instant packaged food too much, you can cut it down. You can have healthy makhanas or popcorns instead of those unhealthy chips.

I have seen people who are doing diet and eating the same menu every day. Of course, it’s boring to eat the same meal every day. Instead of that you can do permutation and combination with the food. If you are taking apple today, take oranges tomorrow and have those bananas in the next day. Similarly, if you are having oatmeal today, have millet khichdi tomorrow. They are equally healthy. You just need to take care of the portion size.

Here I am sharing two versatile oats recipes. You can have these in breakfast or in lunch.

Add 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 frozen banana. Add some water and mix it in mixer grinder. Lastly, add some mixed seed for crunchiness and mix it well with the mixer.
